BALTIMORE , MD, April 2008 – JobPlex, a DHR International Company, is pleased to announce the addition of Gary Lavan, Executive Vice President, to the Baltimore office. Gary has over ten years of executive search experience combined with twenty years of senior executive corporate experience.
 
Prior to joining JobPlex, Gary was a Partner and Industrial Practice Leader with Roberts, Ryan and Bentley, a leading executive search firm. During this time, Gary led domestic and multinational clients across a wide spectrum of industries including direct marketing, building materials, consumer durables, aluminum, and defense.
 
Gary’s corporate career included senior domestic and international executive positions with leading organizations such as; Senior Vice President of Development with Barton Cotton Inc., Vice President of Human Resources with Bain and Company, and Group Human Resources Director of International and R&D with Chesebrough Ponds/Unilever.  He started his career with Reckitt and Colman Ltd, and General Foods.
 
Gary has extensive international experience, having had functional responsibility for twenty-three overseas subsidiaries. His experience includes starting up and expanding operations in Brazil, Colombia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, and Zimbabwe.
 
Gary holds a B.A. degree from Rollins College and has done graduate work in Labor Law at Cornell University.  He has been a member of Cornell’s Center for Advanced Human Resources Studies, and the International and Latin American Human Resource Associations.
