Russ Riendeau, PhD, serves as executive vice president at Jobplex Inc. and is based out of the firm’s Chicago headquarters.
Russ brings more than 29 years of executive search experience to Jobplex, along with a deep understanding of leadership insights, behavioral science research and a proven track record of delivering candidates possessing intelligence and critical-thinking skills.
Early in his career Russ spent many years in construction management with the largest homebuilder in Illinois. Afterwards, he went on to become a partner in a successful sales recruitment company for 14 years, based in Chicago.
In 2000, Russ founded East Wing Group, Inc., a retained search practice working with Fortune 1000 companies and mid-sized privately held organizations to recruit sales, marketing and management talent in packaging, plastics, medical device, pharmaceuticals, ecommerce and general manufacturing companies.
Jobplex acquired East Wing Group, Inc. in 2014. This strategic acquisition added the dynamics and understanding of many emerging industry segments, as well as strengthening senior search expertise.
A recognized speaker on leadership effectiveness and business psychology, Russ has authored/co-authored seven books on talent acquisition, featured in numerous Wall Street Journal pieces, as well as delivering numerous TEDx presentations. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University and a member of General Electric’s corporate leadership education team.
Russ grew up in Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Sciences and Master of Arts in Developmental Psychology from National Louis University and earned a PhD in Behavioral Psychology from Capella University. He is also a member of Vistage International. Russ lives in Barrington, IL with his family and spends time as a pilot, artist, composer and runner, as time allows.
